Welcome!
My name is Emily Lesch, and I’m currently a first year graduate student at the University of Illinois. I’m working on a Masters in Education with a teaching certification in secondary math education. I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois as well, in mathematics and aviation.
Although I’ve always been interested in becoming a math teacher, my original career goal was to become a commercial pilot. After pursuing a career in aviation, I realized that my real passion is in education. I’ve been an instructor in aviation for the past three years, but now I hope to obtain a mathematics teaching position where I can further develop and utilize my teaching skills to help students reach their full potential in all arrays of education.
